Cable power armored VBbShv 0,66/1 kV

kabel-vbbshv

Description:
VBbShv is a power cable, armored with tapes, with a copper core, insulation and a PVC protective hose. This type of cable is a highly reliable wire equipped with copper conductors and PVC hose. Due to the presence of steel armor on it, such a cable can be used for laying and using even in the most severe conditions, since it is reliably protected from all kinds of mechanical damage, with the exception of stretching.

    Required cable section

    Number in meters

    Decoding of the VBbShv cable:
    B – Insulation of cores made of PVC compound
    B – Armor of two steel belts
    b – Without a pillow, which is the inner part of the protective cover, imposed under the armor in order to protect the element underneath from corrosion and mechanical damage by strips or wires of the armor
    Shv – Protective cover in the form of a pressed-out hose made of PVC compound

    Design:
    The conductors of this type of cable, transmitting current, are made of copper in a single-wire or multi-wire design. These veins are circular or can be sectorial in cross-section. They belong to the first or second class according to DSTU.
    The cores are insulated from the inside on the basis of PVC compound. Cable VbbShv, equipped with two or more cores, for the purpose of their identification, one or another color is provided for the cores:

    zero cores are blue;
    earth conductors are colored green-yellow;
    phase conductors in stranded wires have different shades.

    VbbShv cables with two cores have a conductor cross-section with the same area. If there are three or more of them, then they also have the same cross-sectional area, while some models are made so that one of the conductors will have a smaller cross-section, this is either a zero or a ground conductor.

    VbbShv cables have the following applications:
    Transmission and distribution of electricity to objects located at different distances, under conditions when the use of bare or unprotected conductors is impossible due to increased fire hazard or the likelihood of external mechanical impact on them.

    installation of internal networks inside industrial premises;
    installation of external networks in trenches;
    network installation in cable channels;
    installation of networks along cable structures, in particular, overpasses or corridors.

    Home use of this cable:
    – arrange the supply of electricity to the house;
    – arrange the supply of electricity to outbuildings without installing poles and installing isolated slopes through the roof or attic;
    – to equip the landscape design on the personal plot (hidden connection of sidewalk lamps, pumps, fountains, other objects of the courtyard interior).
    This type of cable can be used even where there are high requirements in terms of fire safety and strong mechanical stress on it is possible.

    VBbShv cable and its derivatives are used exclusively for the installation of fixed-type networks. They find their application in the installation of AC or DC networks and are designed for a maximum voltage of 0.66 to 1 kV at a frequency of 50 Hz.

    Installation work
    It is undesirable to subject VBbShv to strong mechanical stress in order to avoid deformation and damage. It is allowed to lay it on almost any route, including inclined ones. In an enclosed space, in special premises (underground, bunkers, warehouses), by air, in fire-hazardous places (mines), it can be mounted. Laying in the ground is only possible if proper precautions are taken. With a single type of gasket, combustion is not supported.

    During installation, it is necessary to follow the rules that will ensure long-term and safe operation of the cable:

    When laying in the ground, the depth should be at least 0.75-1.0 m. At the bottom of the trench, a cushion of sand or special fiber that does not lend itself to combustion is created;
    If there are irregularities with sharp edges in the trench (rock, glass, industrial waste, etc.), its base is poured with concrete or covered with reinforced concrete pallets;
    The cable route is laid without tension;
    When laying several power lines in one trench, the distance between them is maintained 10-15 cm;
    A prerequisite is the grounding of the cable;
    In places where the conductor passes under the carriageway, it is placed in a metal or asbestos-cement pipe to avoid compression effects;
    A layer of sand up to 20 cm is again poured on top;
    To prevent damage to the line, a protective signal tape is used, which replaced the traditional clay brick;
    After backfilling with soil, it is necessary to tamp it;
    When outputting to the surface and switching with an overhead power transmission line, an end sleeve is used, which provides good contact and protection of the docking point;
    These rules must be observed not only during the installation of long power lines, but also during the underground connection of short branches to various objects.
