KVBbShv is a control cable armored by steel tapes, with a copper core, isolation and a protective hose from PVC. The control cable in the armor with the additional designation “ng” indicates the non-flammability of the cable, and “ng-ls” non-flammability and smokelessness respectively nomenclature KVBbShvng and KVBbShvng-ls.
The control cable is intended for laying in public buildings, residential and non-residential premises, trenches, canals, in an aggressive environment, in the open, as well as in conditions of possible mechanical impact on the cable without significant tensile forces. The KVBbShv cable is deciphered as follows:
K – control
V – vinyl insulation
B – armor of galvanized steel strips
b – without a cushion, which is the inner part of the protective cover, imposed under the armor in order to prevent the underlying element from corrosion and mechanical damage by tapes or wires of the armor
Shv – a protective cover in the form of the extruded hose from polyvinylchloride plastic
ng – not supporting combustion
ng-LS – does not support combustion and smoke

The cable usually has excellent marking of insulated cores. The marking of the cores must be digital or color, which provides the ability to identify each core during installation.
KVBbShv with color marking of veins generally prevails, at the order from the manufacturer it is exposed by default. Color marking consists of the main – white, red / pink and blue / blue.
In each separate twist (row) of a cable there should be on one core of red and blue colors – they stand nearby and are called counting pair, others white. The counting pair is necessary in order to correctly identify the vein in the right row.
The red color indicates the guide core, it is designed to determine the direction in which the count should be made to find the desired core.
Accounting vein – blue, it is designed to find the desired vein, by counting from it.
Digital marking is less commonly used and usually requires additional approval from the manufacturer. In digital marking, the color of the numbers differs from the color of the insulation of the cores. The distance between the digits should not exceed 35 mm. As a rule at digital marking, color of isolation of veins is white, letters are black or dark blue.
The main purpose of the connection of electrical appliances and devices in stationary electrical networks, where the rated voltage does not exceed 660 volts, and the frequency is not more than 100 Hz.
The control cable is a multi-core conductor for static connection to electrical appliances, assemblies of terminals of electrical switchgear. It should also be emphasized that its main purpose is not to power the machine, but to control its operation. This is a connecting line, which checks the serviceability and accuracy of any complex equipment. Allows current load in contrast to communication cables.
Due to its design (PVC insulation and protective armor), the control cable has a number of properties that distinguish it from other types of cable. This cable is usually used in places where there is a high probability of mechanical damage to the cable sheath, in chemically aggressive environments, as well as environments in which there are stray currents.
