AABl is a power aluminum high-voltage cable with aluminum conductors, with impregnated paper insulation in an aluminum sheath, armored with tapes, an outer cover of bitumen and yarn. Designed to transfer electricity from the place of its production or generation to industrial

Has a wide operating range of cross-section, due to which AABl can be used to connect electrical loads of various ratings. The most common cable cross-sectional dimensions in AABl: 3х16, 3х25, 3х35, 3х50, 3х70, 3х95, 3х120, 3х150, 3х185, 3х240 in a larger section, used for connection in powerful power grids. The price depends on the cable cross-section. AABl cable has a low density and high thermal conductivity, therefore it allows the transmission of current with minimal losses. It is also quite lightweight, which means that there is no need for large structures for its wiring and layout.

    Deciphering AABL cable:
    A – indicates that aluminum is used as a conductor;
    A – the presence of an aluminum shell;
    B – there is armor in the form of galvanized steel strips;
    l – means that additional lavsan tape is laid under the armor;

    The use and installation of the cable AABL:
    Designed for outdoor use, in dry rooms, in damp, partially flooded rooms with low, medium and high corrosive activity, as well as ducts, cable semi-floors, mines, collectors, production facilities, on technological racks and over bridges, in the presence of danger mechanical damage during operation. The cable is used for laying in fire-hazardous premises and hazardous areas. Flame retardant with single laying. This type of cable products can be used in temperate and cold climates, designed for laying on vertical and inclined sections of routes without limiting the level difference.

    AABl cable can be used in DC networks in the absence of stray currents, provided that during the operating period the cable will not be subjected to tensile loads.

    AABL is mainly laid in earthen trenches. This mounting method has several advantages. By laying the cable in the ground, improved technical characteristics of the cable line are provided, since the likelihood of mechanical damage to the insulation as a result of external influences is reduced. With this method of installation, there is no need to build special supporting structures – cable trays, overpasses. This is especially important when it comes to power supply systems for objects located in urban areas, in particular, residential areas.

    The installation of the cable line is carried out in accordance with the project, which determines the route, profile and depth of the trench into which the laying should be carried out. The details of the project take into account technical characteristics such as the outer diameter of the conductor, the voltage class, as well as the terrain conditions, the nature of the soil and other parameters. Building codes prescribe that the cable should be laid in a sand cushion. A protective layer of moisture-resistant bricks or concrete slabs is laid on the sand, after which the soil is filled up. When performing underground installation of a cable line, it is advisable to avoid connections, for which it is necessary to order the required construction length of the cable. This is especially important for cables operating at voltages above 1000 Volts. The experience of operating underground cable lines shows that the most frequent place of damage to a power line is a joint located underground.
