Description:
AVBbShv is a power aluminum armored cable, the conductors of which have polyvinyl chloride insulation. Has an armored layer along the entire conductor. The main application of the AVBbShv cable is at industrial facilities, for powering a special first category of electrical receivers.
It has special advantages such as high strength, durability, which allows it to be used under severe operating conditions. The cost of such a cable is quite acceptable. The conductors, the main function of which is the conduction of electric current, are made of high quality aluminum. In accordance with classes 1 and 2, these cores can be single-wire or multi-wire and round or sector-shaped in shape. The protective cover of this cable is quite reliable. It is made of two PET foil strips and two PVC foil strips, which are supplemented with galvanized steel strips or bitumen coating and PET foil strips. The cable has a durable sheath made of PVC compound. The main cores of the two-core and three-core AVBbShv cables have the same cross-section. The grounding conductor can have a smaller cross-section. The four-core power cable is manufactured with a maximum cross-section of 240 millimeters square. In such a power cable, all the conductors have the same cross-section, except for the zero one, which has a smaller cross-section.
Single-core cables AVBbShv can have different colors of insulation. The zero core often has blue or light blue insulation. The grounding conductors have two-color insulation – green-yellow. AVBbShv cables are marked with color, numbers. In a second embodiment, the count starts from scratch. The gaps between the twisted insulated conductors are always filled with PVC compound, which must freely separate from the insulation and sheath, if necessary, without damaging them. If the conductors have a cross-section of up to 25 millimeters inclusive, there may be no filling. The most demanded cable cross-sections, depending on the connected object, the following nomenclatures are produced: 3х16, 3х25, 3х35, 3х50, 3х70, 3х95, 3х120, 3х150, 3х185, 3х240, 3х25+1х16, 3х35+1х16, 3х50+1х16, 3х50+1х25, 3х70+1х35, 3х95+1х35, 3х95+1х50, 3х120+1х70, 3х150+1х50, 3х150+1х70, 3х185+1х95, 3х240+1х120, 4х16, 4х25, 4х35, 4х50, 4х70, 4х95, 4х120, 4х150, 4х185, 4х240.
Deciphering AVBbShv cable:
A – indicates that the conductive core is made of aluminum
B – designation of core insulation, made of PVC compound
B – Armor of two steel belts
b – Without a pillow, which is the inner part of the protective cover, imposed under the armor in order to protect the element under it from corrosion and mechanical damage by the strips or wires of the armor
Shv – the presence of a protective cover in the form of a pressed PVC hose
Cable design AVBbShv:
Aluminum conductive core (number of cores: 1, 2, 3, 3 + 1, 4 and 5 pcs.) 1 or 2 classes:
– single-core section from 2.5 to 625 sq. mm,
– stranded with a cross section from 2.5 to 240 sq. mm;
PVC insulation, core marking:
– color: white or yellow, blue or green, red or crimson, brown or black, or yellow-green;
– digital for cables with a cross section of 70 sq. mm and above: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4;
Belt insulation made of PVC tapes;
Armor made of two steel or galvanized strips;
Bitumen (for sections over 6 sq. Mm);
Winding made of polyethylene terephthalate film (for cross-sections over 6 sq. Mm);
PVC hose.
Cable use:
The scope of AVBbShv is quite wide, it is used in the following conditions:
– climatic version: tropics, dry, temperate;
– at fire and explosive facilities;
– in rooms with a high level of humidity (collector, tunnel, mine);
– The angle of inclination of the cable route is not limited. It is laid both on horizontal and on an inclined surface;
– On the air sections of the electrical network with the risk of mechanical damage;
Laying in the ground is allowed provided there are no mechanical stretching.
The above mentioned operating conditions show practically unlimited limits of cable application. The technical characteristics of the AVBbShv cable are designed for its overhead and underground operation. Due to the presence of armor, the wire is able to withstand pressure from the ground. But this is true only if the corrosive activity of the latter is low. Also, during the installation process, it should be borne in mind that the cable is susceptible to tensile forces.
The main purpose of AVBbShv is the delivery and distribution of electricity, provided that the line voltage does not exceed 660 or 1000 volts (depending on the version) for alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz. Note that for highways with direct current, the voltage is allowed to exceed the norm by 2.4 times, that is, 1.5 and 2.4 kV, respectively. It is used for power supply of residential and domestic premises, ideal for laying underground industrial and residential premises, summer cottages, etc. Mass distribution is associated with the low price of these cable products.
With a single installation, the AVBbShv cable does not spread combustion. Group installation of the cable is allowed only in outdoor electrical installations, as well as inside industrial premises, (with the mandatory use of fire protection equipment).
In the emergency operation mode, heating of conductive cores above +80 degrees Celsius is not allowed In this case, the duration of the cable in emergency mode cannot exceed 8 hours a day.
Installation is carried out under the following conditions:
– at an altitude not exceeding 4000 m;
– at facilities where periodic flooding is possible;
– underground;
– in tunnels;
– inside different types of premises;
– at fire and explosive facilities;
– on power transmission line supports.

The price of the AVBbShv cable per meter is determined by the number of current-carrying conductors and their cross-sectional area. If necessary, special models are made to order, which are not included in the standard list of products. It is possible to buy armored cable AVBbShv at affordable prices from the factory of the manufacturer of cable products MPKA.
